Emily Blunt -- James Bond's Next Nemesis?
Emily Blunt is one of Hollywood's most versatile and in-demand actresses today. She stunned audiences with her Golden Globe-winning performance in the NBC series 'The Devil Wears Prada' and has since starred in a number of high-profile films, including 'The Young Victoria', 'The Tourist', 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' and, most recently, 'Edge of Tomorrow'.
In addition to her acting skills, Blunt is also known for her beautiful voice. She lent her talents to the animated feature ' Gnomeo & Juliet' and sang the duet "Hello" with James Corden for the soundtrack of 'Spectacular!'.
So it comes as no surprise that rumours are swirling that Blunt is being eyed to play Bond's next nemesis. It was recently reported by The Sun that director Sam Mendes is keen to cast her as the villain in Bond 24, which is set for release in November 2015.
There's no word yet on who Blunt would be playing, but we can only imagine that she would make a formidable opponent for 007. In an interview with Vulture, she said of playing villains: "I like those people because they have a lot of fun... They're not holding any cards close to their chest; they're up there swinging."
We think Blunt would be perfect for the role and we can't wait to see her take on James Bond!
